Johnson County Department of Health and Environment responds to information on asymptomatic individuals

In the news today, a representative of the World Health Organization shared information about asymptomatic individuals (those without symptoms) and their level of contagiousness, if infected with COVID-19.

In response, Johnson County Department of Health and Environment Director Dr. Sanmi Areola says because this is a new virus, we are learning things about COVID-19 all the time. Our recommendations are no different - people should continue to maintain physical distance of six feet or more, wash hands frequently, stay home when you're sick and wear a mask in public, because you don't know who may be infectious.
