One of the hardest parts of the stay-at-home order is missing your friends. Video conferencing is great, but sometimes you just want to see your friends in person.
To help with this, Direct Support Professionals Lisa Marin and Terri Parker worked together to bring a few people from two houses out for a safe, socially distant meetup in a parking lot. They were able to open the van doors and see each other and hear their friends’ voices.
DSP Theresa Singh explained the positive impact this had on the residents: "One person commented, 'I am happy now.' Another had a major mood boost from the connection with her friends after days of struggling with anxiety.
