Community survey results show pre- and current pandemic satisfaction with county services and information

On Thursday, June 4, the Johnson County Board of County Commissioners were presented with the results of the 2020 Johnson County Community Survey.

The survey, conducted by ETC Institute, is done on an annual basis. This year, in light of the pandemic, the contractor did an additional round of surveying to include in this year's report - showing levels of satisfaction with Johnson County programs, services and information both before the pandemic in 2020 and where we stand (as of May). The survey results are also compared to those of years past.

Highlights include:

• Overall satisfaction with Johnson County is very high.
• Satisfaction with county services has improved significantly in most areas over the past year
• The pandemic did not change satisfaction with county services. The most significant increases in satisfaction in the pandemic - efforts to protect the environment and natural resources, and the county's website.

The survey is used to guide decisions, assess the county's performance over time and identify community priorities.
