Twenty-three local, state and federal agencies, including the Johnson County District Attorney's Office, are partnering to help keep the public safe during the coronavirus pandemic. The agencies are part of the a Kansas COVID Fraud Task Force, formed last week by Stephen McAllister, U.S. Attorney for the District of Kansas.
The aim of the task force is to investigate and prosecute scammers attempting to prey on Kansas during the COVID-19 outbreak.
We encourage residents to contact the DA's consumer hotline at 913-715-3003 with any questions, to provide information, or to obtain a consumer complaint form.
Complaints can also be submitted to the U.S. Attorney's Office by emailing [email protected], by calling the National Center for Disaster Fraud hotline at 866-720-5721, or by filing a complaint online.
