Johnson County Library among departments to re-establish some services

As Johnson County prepares to enter Phase 1 of the reopening plan beginning Monday, May 11, several Johnson County departments announce what the public can expect through the phases.


Drive-thrus at three Johnson County Library branches will re-establish service beginning Monday, May 18. At that time, patrons can return materials to Blue Valley, Lenexa City Center and Monticello book drops only. You can also begin placing holds at jocolibrary.org for pickup at these locations. Starting May 26, patrons can pick up holds at the drive-thru windows from 9 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday - Saturday, and 1-5 p.m., Sunday. Read more information about the re-established Library services.

Property tax payment option reminder

The Johnson County Treasury and Financial Management department will reopen the tax collection office located at 111 S. Cherry St., Suite 1500, in Olathe, on May 11, in a limited capacity. The second installment of 2019 property taxes are due by May 11. Mail and online payments are encouraged, to observe physical distancing guidelines. Learn more about payment options.
