
Starting with May 29 through Labor Day (Sept. 3), Johnson County Museum, as one of more than 2,000 museums across America will participate in the ninth annual Blue Star Museums, a program that offers free admission to active duty military personnel and their families. The program is a collaboration among the National Endowment for the Arts, Blue Star Families, the U.S. Department of Defense and participating museums.
Johnson County Museum is located inside the Johnson County Arts & Heritage Center, 8788 Metcalf Ave., Overland Park. Hours of operation are 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday. The Arts & Heritage Center, including the museum, is closed on Sundays and major holidays.
