Join experts from several Johnson County communities to learn about environmentally conscious yard care at this year's Healthy Yards Expo. Kansas Healthy Yards and Communities (KHYC), developed by K-State Research and Extension, helps homeowners make better choices on environmentally conscious lawn and garden care techniques. Johnson County Extension is teaming with Johnson County Stormwater Management and the cities of Lenexa, Overland Park and Shawnee to present the expo.

The Healthy Yards Expo begins at 9 a.m. Saturday, April 7 at the Shawnee Civic Centre, 13817 Johnson Drive in Shawnee. Children's activities start at 10 a.m. Early birds have an opportunity to get free native plants and native tree seedlings.
