An
emotional or mental health crisis may occur at any time of the day or
night. Johnson County Mental Health Center has professional clinical
staff available 24 hours a day to talk with you about your mental health
emergency. The crisis staff can help you develop a plan for how to manage
the crisis and can help connect you with needed resources and services.
During daytime hours services are provided at both the Mission Office
913-831-2550 and the Olathe Office 913-782-2100.
Nighttime, weekend and holiday emergency services
are available by calling:
913-384-3535
When you call the Johnson County Mental Health
Center crisis staff will listen to your concerns and provide you with
information about treatment options for various types of mental health
emergencies and refer you to appropriate services. In some cases you
may be asked to participate in crisis outpatient therapy or be scheduled
for an emergency psychiatric evaluation. Crisis case management and
community outreach programs may be available. Crisis clinics are offered
Monday through Friday at the Mission and Olathe offices. After the crisis/emergency
situation has been resolved many people choose to continue with outpatient
therapy.
