Why does it appear there are no community centers in Johnson County?

Actually, a good number of municipalities within the County have developed and are operating their own community centers. Following is a list of the cities operating community centers and their locations

The Johnson County Park & Recreation District (JCPRD) currently works cooperatively with several of the municipalities and provides programming at those facilities. Additionally, JCPRD’s master plan calls for monitoring the county’s future community center needs and developing additional facilities as needed, providing funding is available.
