Bereavement is not mandated by any state oversight group.  The employer determines how many days will be allowed per instance, which relatives will be considered valid for bereavement coverage or not and how many days will be allotted for bereavement following the death of which family member type (e.g.: parents, grandparents/children, siblings, in-laws, aunts/uncles, cousins etc.).

At this time the website includes only those awards/certificates that are presented by the County Government.  Feel free to contact the Human Resources department (913)715-1400 to discuss the feasibility of including recognition from other sources.
