Their efforts resulted in the integration of schools in Northeast Johnson County -- five years before the historic U.S. Supreme Court ruling of Brown vs. Topeka Board of Education. The exhibit was dedicated in 2002 at South Park Elementary; when the school closed, the exhibit was moved to the new school Merriam Park Elementary where it remains on view. The online version is an exact replica.
