Home-school History Adventures (Ages 8-12)

Unearth the treasure of our local history with the Johnson County Museum! Examine artifacts from our collection, explore the exhibit, and put your brains and hands to work with interactive projects, games, and activities in our museum classroom. These monthly sessions serve as an engaging supplement to your homeschool curriculum, and give students the opportunity to build both new friendships and a new appreciation for what came before us! Can be booked as field trips for other groups too!

1 - 2 hr. session - $6 per person, museum members receive a 20% discount - call (913) 831-3359 to register and claim discount.  (includes admission to the museum and KidScape; Regular admission prices apply for non-participating children and adults)

ALL ABOARD! -  We’re off to discover Johnson County’s railroads in this fun, hands-on program! See how trains got our community on track with an interactive journey through our exhibit, imagine life in boom and bust towns, and compete to design and build your own bridge that will bring the railroad to your town!
