The Friends of Johnson County Mental Health Center Fund operates for the sole purpose of benefitting individuals in treatment at Johnson County Mental Health Center by providing financial assistance for identified special needs. This fund may assist in meeting these needs when money is not available through any other means. Some examples of how the fund has been used for children paying for music lessons, fees for scouts, summer camps, or equipment or fees to participate in sports. Some examples for adults fees,books or supplies for attending educational classes, fees for exercise classes or to cover some of the cost of dental work.These activities help individuals gain skills and often increase feelings of self esteem and self confidence.
