Mental Health First Aid is an interactive 8-hour course that gives people the skills to help someone who is developing a mental health problem or experiencing a mental health crisis.
Mental Health First Aid is intended for all people and organizations that make up the fabric of a community. The course is often presented to chambers of commerce, professional associations, hospitals, nursing homes, service organizations, parent organizations, social clubs, and other groups. Mental Health First Aid can benefit anyone interested in learning more about mental health prolbems, including depression, anxiety, psychosis and substance abuse.
$50.00 per participant. There will be a 30 minute lunch provided by Shawnee Mission Health - Overland Park. Max occupancy is 20 per session.
