The Kansas Tobacco Retailer Training is a program for individuals who have been cited for selling tobacco products to minors. The Tobacco Retailer Training Program consists of data/statistics regarding tobacco use among youth, overview of Kansas State Statute regarding tobacco: unlawful acts and penalties, proper procedures to use to determine age, valid forms of identification, refusal skills and tools for assistance. Please refer to the handout enclosed in this packet for more information.
The RPC will provide these trainings on an as needed basis. There is a three (3) person registration minimum required in order to provide a training session for Kansas Tobacco Retailer Training. Once our office has received at least three (3) paid registrations, training will be scheduled. The individual registered will be contacted and provided information regarding training date, time and location.
