Review Career Opportunities

Career opportunities throughout our organization are posted as they become available. Generally, positions are posted for two weeks. The job posting will include information regarding the closing date of the posting or the first initial review of applications.

 

Choose the opportunity that best fits your career path. You will receive a confirmation email once your application has been completed. How to apply for a position

If you are unable to find the best opportunity, you can set up a Job Search Agent which will email you when a position is posted that meets your search criteria.

The hiring manager and Human Resource partner will review applications which can take up to two weeks. This timeframe varies by position and the department/agency’s process. You must meet all minimum qualifications in order to be considered for the position.

The candidates who most closely meet the required and preferred qualifications will be contacted for a phone screen or to schedule an interview. Interviews are either one-on-one with the hiring manager or with an interview selection committee.

If you are the top candidate, you will be contacted for the next step to complete a secondary application for background screening and reference checks. An offer will be extended to you contingent on satisfactory background and reference checks. Some positions require additional post-offer requirements such as a drug screen, physical ability test or essential duties test.  

If you are not selected for the position, you should be notified via email or a phone call that the position has been filled. We encourage you to continue to review career opportunities with Johnson County Government.
