Johnson County Motor Vehicle Offices will reopen for business on Tuesday, May 8, 2012, following the installation of a new $40 million statewide computer system by the Kansas Department of Revenue. You can learn more about the modernization project, by visiting the State’s website at www.dmvproject.ks.gov.
Johnson County residents, who have license plate registrations that expire in May, are being urged to renew online at www.kswebtags.org or by mail. The Motor Vehicle Offices located at 782 N. Ridgeview Road, Olathe, and 6000 Lamar Avenue, Mission, are open Monday - Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Citizens should expect a delay in turnaround time for all motor vehicle related transactions and an increase in wait time at the Motor Vehicle Offices as staff verifies current and captures new information.
“We greatly appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding during this transition,” County Treasurer Thomas Franzen said.
