JCPRD launches major website upgrade

The Johnson County Park & Recreation District website has a new look and outreach at www.jcprd.com.

The website has served the district since 2001 without a major upgrade and technical redesign of content and accessibility until now. The new website will be optimized for today’s mobile devices and offer greatly-expanded capabilities, including accessibility to feature video and photography of the district’s programs, activities, events and facilities.

Another new feature is the addition of easy-to-use calendars which can be synced with users’ Outlook, Windows or Mac calendar apps.

Although discussed for much longer, the new website has been in the works for about a year and a half, and is being developed with the assistance of CivicPlus of Manhattan, Kansas.

Launch of the new website also coincides with the release of the current May through August issue of the My JCPRD Activities catalog, which will be smaller and more colorful as it transforms into a means to steer readers to the website for program and other information.
