Valentine cards, stamps and ziplock bags

Spread cheer to homebound seniors in Johnson County

Participate in Johnson County Human Services' 2017 Valentine Stampede and spread joy to homebound seniors in Johnson County. The Human Services department is partnering with local schools, community groups, faith-based organizations and individuals with a goal of collecting more than 1,400 valentines. The goal is for each Meals on Wheels recipient to receive a special Valentine's Day packet containing one new Valentine's Day card (such as a Hallmark card), a handmade card by someone in the community, a postage stamp and a note explaining the packet contents. Donations of new Valentine's Day cards, Forever postage stamps and gallon 'slider' Ziplock bags (which are used to contain each packet of goodies) are needed.

Please drop off any donations to Brandy Hodge at Johnson County's Sunset Office Building (11811 S. Sunset Drive in Olathe), suite 1300, by Monday, Feb. 6. Call 913-715-8800 with questions.
