Maintaining a local team of trained storm spotters ensures our community gets the very best severe thunderstorm and tornado warnings from the National Weather Service.
The annual Severe Weather Spotter Seminar will be held Monday, January 26, 7 - 9 p.m. at Olathe Northwest High School in the Performing Arts Center. The seminar is free and open to the public. Anyone with a fascination in severe weather is encouraged to attend. No registration necessary.
Andy Bailey, meteorologist from the National Weather Service forecasting office in Pleasant Hill, Mo., will lead the seminar.
